The Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable acts where a set of laws that the British Parliament created after the incident of the Boston Tea Party. All of these Acts were unfair to the American Colonists which also meant more tension rose between the two countries and less space for negotiations. Colonists were at their breaking points after these laws were announced to them. The Boston Port Act was done to punish the Americans for wasting all the tea and for rebelling against the Company. The Massachusetts Government Act was as sneaky law because the British Parliament knew that Massachusetts was a growing power so they acted fast and stopped them from getting out of their hands. The Administration of Justice Act allowed the wealthy officials in the colonies to be threatened by England if the king didn't agree with them. This act was one of the most influential laws of all because it jeopardized the wealthy which later on would have the power to start the American Revolution. The Quartering Act was very unprofessional because it obliged colonists to host British soldiers even if the colonists were truly against the British. This might have been the time where most Americans were ready to become independent from the British and shows how The Intolerable Acts further enraged many colonists.
