The BOston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a step further towards the revolution. On March 5, 1770, a group of colonists were protesting against the British. A group of British soldiers where gaining up against the colonies when suddenly shots were fired and 5 people were killed. The Captain of the group of soldiers was Captain Thomas Preston who later on was arrested for manslaughter, along with 8 of his men. This Massacre was a key event to the start of the revolution. The massacre created a rough encounter in the politics of the incarcerating of Captain Thomas Preston and his men. After this unfortunate encounter tension was built up between the British and the colonists which in turn created political arguments that enraged both sides.
